Bands for Children & Adults
Experience the joy of making music with other students in one of The Music Studio’s exciting ensembles. Joining an ensemble is a great way to further develop your musical skills and confidence in a relaxed learning environment while making new friends.
The Music Studio’s ensembles are designed for children and adults who are comfortable with at least the basics of their instrument, and are intended to complement a student’s private lessons. Students are organized according to musical interests, skill level and age.
Classes are held in The Music Studio’s well-equipped Ensemble Room which features professional mics, amps, keyboards and drums.
Junior Rock Band
Beginning students learn to play rock and pop songs from sheet music and charts, and by ear. Songs include: I Want to Hold Your Hand, Superstition, Smoke On the Water and Smells Like Teen Spirit. Instrumentation: Vocal, Guitar, Piano, Bass & Drums
Time: Monday 4:15pm & Saturday 12:00pm
Cost: $33 per class (payable monthly)
Length: 45 minutes
Pop/Rock Band
Students play classic and contemporary songs by ear. Songs include: Riptide; Dani California, 21 Guns and Clocks. Instrumentation: Vocal, Guitar, Piano, Bass & Drums.
Time: Monday 4:15pm, Wednesday 7:30 pm & 8:15 pm, Saturday 3:00 pm, 4:00 pm & 5:00 pm
Cost: $33 per class (payable monthly)
Length: 45 minutes
Adult Rock Band
Play classic and modern rock & pop hits from sheet music and charts, and by ear. Songs include: Take It Easy, Dreams, Here Comes the Sun, Try, and House of the Rising Sun. Instrumentation: Vocal, Guitar, Piano, Bass & Drums.
Time: Tuesday 7:00pm & Thursday 6:00pm
Cost: $41 per class (payable monthly)
Length: 60 minutes
Jazz Ensemble
Learn essential jazz skills including chart reading, soloing & comping while playing repertoire including Fly Me to the Moon, Summertime and All of Me. Instrumentation: Vocal, Piano, Guitar, Bass, Drums Trumpet, Trombone & Saxophone.
Time: Monday 3:15 pm & Saturday 10:30 am
Cost: $41 per class (payable monthly)
